Matt Walter, a sophomore running back for Sacred Heart Prep’s football team, has been named Athlete of the Week by the Palo Alto Weekly.
He rushed for a career-high 154 yards on 14 carries and scored on runs of 49, 12 and 25 yards in addition to playing on defense in a 35-13 football victory as the Gators improved to 4-1.
