With a folk-music revival brewing, famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz went back to her roots, with a cross-country blitz of the genre’s stars, including high priestess Joan Baez in Woodside.
Still radiant at 66, Ms. Baez never abandoned the sturdy folk ballads she sang all those years ago, when she was starting out in the coffeehouses of Cambridge, Massachusetts, says author Lisa Robinson in the November 2007 issue of Vanity Fair magazine, which features the folk singer photographs.
The Annie Leibovitz photo shows Ms. Baez up a tree at her home in Woodside.
