In the SCVAL De Anza Division, Gunn forced 31 turnovers and got a combined 31 points from Neva Hauser and Jasmine Evans while clinching second place with a 52-39 win over visiting Los Gatos.

Gunn (9-2, 24-2) shot 52 percent from the field in the first half while taking a 33-18 lead, despite only holding a two-point lead after one period. In a game that Palo Alto (6-5, 9-13) had to win to even have a chance at the CCS playoffs, they did just that with a 55-37 win over last-place Fremont on Tuesday. Nicole Behr, who has been out all season after ACL surgery this past September, returned with a big 10 points while fellow senior Liz Slater led the way with 16.
The Vikings visit Gunn on Friday at 6:15 p.m., closing the regular season for both teams. The CCS playoffs begin next week.
Castilleja definitely will be playing next week, but first has a chance for a West Bay Athletic League undisputed title. The Gators (9-0, 17-5) can accomplish that by beating host Mercy-San Francisco on Friday night.
Castilleja clinched no worse than a share of the league title a 61-20 romp over visiting Notre Dame-San Jose on Tuesday night. The Gators celebrated Senior Night with senior Marion Cohn scoring a career-high 16 points and senior Lindsay Taylor adding seven points, eight rebounds, nine assists and seven steals.
Freshman Natasha von Kaeppler pulled down 14 rebounds and had six blocks. Junior Ericka von Kaeppler scored 14 points with eight rebounds and five blocks.
