Local towns have scheduled the following holiday hours:
• Atherton: The town’s administrative offices and branch post office will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas and Thursday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. The Planning Commission’s Dec. 24 meeting has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting is Jan. 8, starting at 6 p.m. Call 752-0500 for information.
Portola Valley: Town Hall closes at 1 p.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, and won’t reopen until 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2.
• Woodside: Town Hall will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, and not reopen until 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5.
• Menlo Park: City Hall and the police department will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, but will be open Friday, Dec. 26. They will also be closed Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1-2.
The Burgess Recreation Center and Onetta Harris Community Center in Menlo Park are both closed Christmas and New Year’s weeks; they will re-open Monday, Jan. 5. The Burgess Pool will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Both the main library in the Civic Center and Belle Haven library will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, and from 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 through Jan. 1.
