  1. In the High Speed Rail session, we hope that all categories of questions will be selected. Sometimes, those in charge select only those they want to answer. Thanks to the Almanac for such good balanced coverage.

  2. Interesting that Congressman Eshoo is willing to hold a Town Hall Meweting to discuss HGIGH SPEED RAI, a subject that will only be completed when more than half of her constituents have passed.. WHILE, she will only discuss the immediate problem of HEALTH CARE over a selective telephone network. I wondeer why ???

  3. CEQA LAWSUIT BY TOWN OF ATHERTON UPHELD TODAY IN SACRAMENTO SUPERIOR COURT. COURT FOUND SIGNIFICANT INADEQUACIES OF DISCUSSION OF PENINSULA ROUTE IMPACTS AND USE OF UNION PACIFIC RIGHT OF WAY. APPEARS THAT THE MEETING TONITE WILL BE ANTI CLIMACTIC BECAUSE THE EIR VIOLATED CEQA MANDATES AND CASE LAW DEFINING CEQA INTENT.
EXPECT ENGEL AND OTHERS WILL PASS OUT COPIES OF THE COURT’S WRIT OF MANDATE AT TONITE’S MEETING.

  4. About Mr. Oswald’s query above, Rep. Eschoo’s website shows that she is scheduled to hold a Health Care Town Hall Meeting at Spangenberg Theatre (Gunn High in PA) from 7:00-8:30PM on Wed. 2 Sept.

Those of us who, like me, were contacted about making our voices heard about Health Care Reform tonight at the Menlo Park Town Hall meeting are probably wasting our time if we show up during the High Speed Rail Town Hall Meeting.
