With the completion of some 55 apartments on the hilltop campus of Canada College, faculty and staff now have convenient housing while the town of Woodside, not known for its low-income housing, receives credit for having built some.

Surveys showed a majority of San Mateo County Community College District employees planned to leave within a few years because of the unavailability of affordable housing.
