Anyone wanting to recycle unwanted electronic items while helping a local school can bring their old computer equipment and other e-waste to Woodside Elementary School, 3195 Woodside Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 7:30 to 10:30 am.

Items that will be accepted include computers, microwaves, printers, scanners, cell phones, televisions, toner cartridges, monitors, DVD players, VCRs, telephones, cables and wires, and all small electronic items.

The fundraiser is part of a challenge made to California schools by All Green Electronics Recycling to collect one million pounds of e-waste for America Recycles Day. The company has promised to recycle everything it accepts in North America and never to send electronics to a landfill or overseas for processing. The company will provide data destruction services for a small fee at the event.
