A teenage girl was reported in critical condition following a car crash Wednesday night in the 1900 block of Pulgas Avenue in East Palo Alto.
When police arrived at the scene of the crash, which occurred at around 7 p.m., there was a Toyota Camry resting on its side and two teenage girls on the roadway who had been removed from the car by bystanders, police said.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the Camry hit a car in the opposite lane, causing the Camry to collide into an unoccupied parked vehicle and come to a stop on its side, East Palo Alto police said.
Paramedics with the Menlo Park Fire Protection District treated the two girls on the scene and both were taken to a local trauma center, one listed in stable condition and the other in critical condition, police said.
