Historian Michael Svanevik will conduct a class about local history, “Influential Families of San Francisco & the Peninsula,” on Wednesdays from Sept. 4 through Oct. 30 at Little House Activity Center in Menlo Park.

The classes about Peninsula history and those who created it will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the center, located at 800 Middle Ave. in Menlo Park. The fee is $50 for the classes, which will combine relevant stories of San Francisco with talks about the Peninsula and Santa Clara Valley.
