A power outage in West Menlo Park is affecting traffic lights at two intersections on Alameda De Las Pulgas: at Sharon Road and Santa Cruz Avenue, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services reported at 11:30 a.m. this morning.
PG&E is on the scene working to restore power and the Sheriff’s Office is directing traffic at the affected intersections, according to Dan Bennett of the OES.
Drivers are urged to use caution in those areas and expect traffic delays.

How come this is alert and news worthy when it is in West Menlo but when The Willows and EPA were down for hours last week not?
Because The Almanac office is on Alameda so they know when the power goes out. If you call them & tell them your neighborhood is out-of-power, I’m sure they’ll publish that news as well. Can’t publish if they don’t know.
The Almanac has not been on the Alameda for several years. The office is in Palo Alto.
whatsver: Correct you are. Downtowner is also correct, can’t print news when they do know!!
