A celebration of the life of Bette Moorman of Atherton will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. Ms. Moorman died March 16 at the age of 91.
Ms. Moorman was born in Duluth, Minnesota, and graduated from the Masters School in 1940. She majored in child study at Vassar College. She supported the Stanford Department of Child Psychiatry, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the Child Advocacy Council, and many other groups.
Preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Moorman, whom she married in 1949, she is survived by her children, Lisa Fremont and Mark Moorman; and five grandchildren.
