Menlo Park police will not enforce overnight parking restrictions from the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 23, to the morning of Sunday, Jan. 3, the city announced. Enforcement will resume at 2 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4.
A Menlo Park ordinance bans the parking of cars on residential streets, and within 300 feet of a residential area, from 2 to 5 a.m.

So, in other words, everybody who pays good money for and counts on street parking permits is screwed?
No, the city relaxing enforcement for eleven days is not “screwing” anyone. Your permit still matters the other 354 days of the year. For eleven days you may not be able to parking directly in front of your home, you might have to park down the block. The horrors.
