Peninsula School centennial craft fair nears

The Peninsula School in Menlo Park is closing out its centennial celebration with its annual craft fair on Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Peninsula Craft Fair is a long-standing tradition for the school, bringing together local artisans, students, families and the Menlo Park and Atherton community. The event will feature handmade goods made by students and community members, soup, food trucks, homemade baked treats and live music.

The craft fair will be hosted at Peninsula School, located at 920 Peninsula Way in Menlo Park. For more information visit peninsulaschool.org/community/events.

Woodside citizen advisory committees seek volunteers

The town of Woodside is currently seeking volunteers to join nine different Citizen Advisory Committees and serve in an advisory capacity to the Town Council:

  • Arts and Culture Committee
  • Circulation Committee
  • Emergency Preparedness Committee
  • Environment and Open Space Committee
  • Livestock and Equine Heritage Committee
  • Recreation Committee
  • Trails Committee
  • Volunteerism Committee
  • Woodside History Committee

Residents who are interested can request information and an application by emailing Assistant Town Manager Melissa Cardinale at mcardinale@woodsideca.gov or by picking up a hard copy of the application at Town Hall, 2955 Woodside Road. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026.

Woodside Town Center Area Plan meeting called

The Town Center Area Plan Citizen Advisory Committee will be holding its second meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Independence Hall. Engagement efforts began in the summer and fall with community surveys and pop-up events.

The town invites members of the public to attend the upcoming meeting in person or online. For more information on the Town Center Area Plan project visit woodsideca.gov/TCAP.
