Litani Moimoi, star outside linebacker for the Menlo-Atherton High School Bears, has accepted a football scholarship at the University of Las Vegas.
The signing ceremony took place Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the new gymnasium at the school, said school spokeswoman Kelly Todd.
Moimoi, a 6 foot 3 inch, 278-pound senior, completed 90 tackles in the 2007-08 season, including 19 sacks for a total of 73 yards lost, according to his statistics page at the Maxpreps Web site.
Little League seeks team sponsors
The Alpine/West-Menlo Little League is looking for a few more sponsors for the 2008 season, says Jim Schott, sponsor coordinator for the league.
Sponsors are needed for all age groups, including “wherever needed,” T-ball, coach-pitch, and pitching machine, he said.
