Andrew Latu rushed for three touchdowns, Teddy Purcell threw for three scores and Sacred Heart Prep opened its football season with a 49-12 nonleague victory at Aragon on Friday night.

Paul Barton caught a pair of touchdowns for the Gators, who rushed for 224 yards and threw for 206. Will Mackie and Luis Mendoza also scored for SHP.
Latu led the rushing brigade with 70 yards on seven carries while Mendoza added 58 yards on five carries.
Purcell completed 12 of 15 passes for 199 yards before giving way to Jack Herrell, who led the Gators on their final two scoring drives.
Barton caught four passes for 98 yards, including touchdown receptions of 20 and 32 yards. Jackson Girouard and Beck Anderson each caught three passes, combing for 94 yards.
Jonathan Martinez made all seven of his PAT tries. Zach Freire and Mackie each recovered a fumble.
