The Menlo-Atherton baseball team pitched another shutout while Gunn recorded another come-from-behind victory Thursday.

Rowen Barnes, Sean Quinton and Will Ryan combined to throw a four-hitter in a 6-0 victory at Mills in a Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division contest.

Evan Wiederhold doubled home two runs in the top of the sixth to give the Titans the lead for good in a 10-6 win at Milpitas in a SCVAL El Camino Division game.

Menlo-Atherton (11-5, 6-0) pitched its sixth shutout over its past eight games, all wins, and has allowed three runs total over the past 56 innings.

Barnes went four innings to pick up the win. He allowed three hits, walked one and struck out six. Quinton gave up a hit in his two innings, walking two and striking out three. Ryan struck out one in a hitless inning.

The Bears struck for three runs before Barnes even threw a pitch. John Quinlan drew a walk to open the game and Max Coupe followed with a double.

Tommy Eisenstat hit a sacrifice fly to plate a run and Griffin Williams followed with a RBI single. Colin Galles’ groundout chased home another run.

Galles and Ben Cohen each had two hits for M-A, which hosts Carlmont on Saturday morning.

Wiederhold added another two-run double in the seventh for the Titans (4-5, 3-3), who travel to Monta Vista for a game Saturday.

Evan Schieber had three hits and Theo Ebersman, Josh Mirob and Maddie Etheridge each added two hits as host Priory beat Crystal Springs Uplands, 12-5, in a PAL Lake Division contest.

Ronin Park pitched the first six innings for the win for Priory (6-1).

Castilleja goalie Sutchie Ofori-Nyako recorded 13 saves in helping the Gators beat host Los Gatos, 4-2, in a Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division contest Thursday.

Castilleja (7-1, 6-1) and the Wildcats (5-2, 4-2) both played in the Open Division of last year’s Central Coast Section and both were league champions.

Casti, a Division V school, won the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division title while Los Gatos, a Division I school, shared the SCVAL De Anza Division title with Gunn but was awarded the league’s top seed on a tiebreaker.

Lexi Triantis scored twice to lead the Gators, who travels to play at Palo Alto, a six-minute walk away, on Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings (5-3, 3-3) beat Harker.

Sydney Lowell and Anjali Kambham also scored for Castilleja.

The Gunn at Homestead game will be rescheduled.

Boys water polo

Sam Schube scored four goals and Nico Julia added a score as Gunn beat host Homestead, 14-2, in a SCVAL match Thursday.

The Titans (6-1, 6-0) host Mountain View on Tuesday evening.

Boys soccer

Kyle Nilsson scored to give Sacred Heart Prep and early led but Menlo was able to bounce back to record a 3-1 victory over the visiting Gators in a WBAL match Thursday.

Christian Corcoran scored just before halftime to tie the game. Ilan Listgarden also scored.

Girls soccer

Siena Gavin and Stella El-Fishawy each scored to lead Menlo past host Sacred Heart Prep, 2-0, in a WBAL match Thursday.

In the PAL, Menlo-Atherton and host Hillsdale played to a 1-1 tie. M-A senior Kari Trail headed a ball into the net off a corner from sophomore Susie Wagstaff.

Angelina Edwards made several key saves to keep the Bears (3-3-2, 2-3-2) in the game. Peyton Karp was a key defender in front of the net.

Castilleja downed Crystal Springs Uplands, 5-2, and travels to Harker for a match Tuesday.

Boys tennis

Sacred Heart Prep downed visiting Nueva, 7-0, in a West Bay Athletic League match Thursday.

Conor Burns, Aarav Chandrasekar, Neal Chopra and Tristan Zerber each won their singles matches in straight sets.

The Gators (4-3, 3-1) host Pinewood on Tuesday.

Gunn dropped a tough home match to Saratoga, 5-4, getting singles wins from Raghav Jangbahadur, Evan Huynh, and Colin Chan, as well from the doubles team of Michael Liang and Milan Rohatgi.

Boys volleyball

Boris Bukchin recorded 22 kills but Gunn lost at Fremont, 25-22, 25-17, 16-25, 25-23, in a league match Thursday.

Zach Chang added 17 kills and Sebastian Caldera contributed 28 assists.

Girls basketball

Mollie Kuelker scored 15 points but Gunn lost at Monta Vista, 65-26, Thursday.

Softball

Alana Stull tripled and drove in two runs but Castilleja fell to host The King’s Academy, 9-6, in a WBAL game. Lexie Stinson added two hits.
