Hannah Jump always had a knack for making the big basket, dating to her days playing at Pinewood.
The Stanford junior did it again Saturday.
No. 7 Tennessee made a huge run at the third-ranked Cardinal, cutting a 17-point halftime deficit to three points as time was running out in the third quarter.
Jump took a pass from Anna Wilson and in one graceful motion let fly a shot that hit nothing but net and gave Stanford a 52-46 edge entering the fourth quarter.
Stanford (7-2) went on to beat Tennessee 74-63 in front of a crowd of 10,017 fans at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville.
Jump scored 11 points in the game, making three of her five 3-point attempts.
Jump is third in scoring for the Cardinal, averaging 10 points a game. She leads the team with 27 3-pointers, more than the next three players combined. Jump has made 42% of her 3-point shots.
