Aidan Braccia scored 18 points and Kevin Carney added 16 as Sacred Heart Prep beat the Peninsula Athletic League North Division leader Half Moon Bay 55-40 in a non-league contest Saturday.

The Gators (7-2) opened a 15-point advantage in the first quarter and maintained the lead the rest of the way, though the Cougars managed to trim the lead to single digits during the third quarter.

Sacred Heart Prep visits Priory at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a rematch of last season’s West Bay Athletic League championship game.

Sacred Heart Cathedral 55, St. Francis 51

St. Francis (6-4, 2-2) will be looking to get back on track Wednesday when the Lancers visit Serra for a 7:30 p.m. game Wednesday.

St. Francis lost its second straight West Catholic Athletic League home game after opening the season with a pair of victories.

In a girls basketball game, Priory fell to Antelope 65-37 as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Showcase at St. Mary’s in Stockton.

Priory (5-6) returns to WBAL action Tuesday with a 6 p.m. game at Menlo.

Girls soccer

Freshman Kamryn Rose scored in the final minute of play to help St. Francis salvage a 1-1 tie with visiting St. Ignatius in a West Catholic Athletic League match Saturday.

The Lancers (7-0-2, 1-0-1) beat SI (6-2-3, 3-0-2) in the championship match of the Firebird Classic at Fremont High in December.

The Wildcats beat defending Central Coast Section Open Division champion Mitty earlier in the week. St. Francis hosts Mitty at 11 a.m. Monday in an important match. The Lancers play Valley Christian, also a title contender, this week.

In a non-league match, Menlo School beat host Seaside 11-0. The Knights (6-4) host Notre Dame Belmont in a West Bay Athletic League match on Tuesday.

In a WCAL boys soccer match, St. Francis lost at St. Ignatius, 4-1.
