It’s been 25 years since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, killed thousands, leveled New York City’s iconic Twin Towers and damaged the Pentagon in Washington D.C. While the attacks were carried out on the East Coast, the shockwaves sent ripples across the globe. The effects are still being felt on the Peninsula.
