The 139 members of Menlo School’s Class of 2007 will receive their diplomas on Wednesday, June 6, at 9:30 a.m. in an outdoor ceremony on the school’s campus in Atherton.

Commencement speakers will be Eric Chandler and Dectora Jeffers, well-known members of the Menlo School family who will be leaving the campus later this month.

Dr. Chandler, a college counselor and a member of the English department, will be the head of Kent Denver School in Englewood, Colorado, after 10 years at Menlo.

Ms. Jeffers, admission director for the Upper School, is retiring after 21 years at Menlo, including service as Menlo’s first college counselor.

After welcoming remarks by Head of School Norman M. Colb and the commencement speeches, Matin Movassate of Atherton, senior class president, will offer his thoughts on graduation. Menlo School’s chorus and chamber orchestra will provide the music.

Tim Howard, Menlo School board chair, will assist Mr. Colb in presenting diplomas to the graduates.
