The town of Woodside has updated their third draft of the housing element to be reviewed by the public for a seven-day period through Wednesday, March 13. Afterwards, the town will submit the document to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for formal review, according to Woodside Town Manager Kevin Bryant.
Comments on the draft can be submitted to Town Hall, 2955 Woodside Road, or can be emailed to Planning Director Sage Schaan at sschaan@woodsideca.gov.
The housing element has undergone multiple reviews by the HCD since the town submitted its first draft on July 17, 2022 and received written comments by the HCD on Oct. 14, 2022. The second draft was submitted on March 15, 2023 to which the HCD provided comments on May 12, 2023.
Since the most recent draft, the town has met with the HCD and conducted “two rounds of informal review” with their staff, said Bryant in an email to The Almanac.
All documents of housing element drafts and HCD comments can be found on the town’s website, woodsideca.gov.
