Los Altos Stage Company’s annual “Follies” fundraiser returns for three performances, this time subtitled “Saluting Flummoxed & Discombobulated Nincompoops.”

According to the theater organization’s website, the election-year show will put a musical spin on politics in the news, with parody songs touching on topics including climate crises, candidates running for office, the Supreme Court and even some local issues. A gala on the finale show date honors retiring U.S. Rep. Anna Eshoo. At that show, Eshoo will team up to share master of ceremonies duties with Los Altos Stage Company Board President-elect Mike Kasperzak, according to the “Follies” program.

The event also offers a silent auction with a variety of experiences and getaways up for bid, including wine tastings, theater trips and a lunch with Eshoo.

Oct. 3-5.; Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday include pre-show (at 6 p.m.) and post-show receptions at the Los Altos Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos; $85-$200; losaltosstage.org/follies-2024/.
