Doox of Yale, an all-gender a cappella group from Yale University, rings in 2025 with a return to the Peninsula. The group, which dropped by the area last January during a tour, is back to perform Jan. 4 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto and Jan. 5 at Gunn High School. The concert at Gunn includes a talkback after the show.

Doox, made up of bass, tenor and baritone singers, showcases lower register voices. Its current lineup includes Gunn High School alumnus Quincy Rosenzweig.

The ensemble has a diverse repertoire, performing rock ballads, jazz standards, folk tunes and pop songs.

Doox, which dates back to 1952, has performed in a number of unique and notable settings including the White House; NPR; Drew Barrymore’s birthday party; Kylemore Abbey in Ireland; and the Steinway Club of Puerto Rico.

Jan. 4, 7:30-8:30 p.m., at Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto, 505 E. Charleston Road, Palo Alto and Jan. 5, 7:30-8:30 p.m., (talkback after the concert) at Little Theater, Gunn High School, 780 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto. Tickets for the Jan. 4 concert are $40 for priority seating/$20 for general admission/$10 for students and children; tickets for Jan. 5 concert are $20 adults/$10 students and children/$5 Gunn students.
