Woodside Priory art exhibition
An art exhibit featuring the work of a grandmother, mother and daughter will be showcased at Woodside Priory School’s Kriewall-Haehl Gallery from Sept. 26 to Nov. 7 . The exhibit titled, “Summer Reflections: Three Generations,” will display the work of Roberta O’Neal Salma, Lindsey Salma Bruel and Schuyler O’Neal Bruel.
Schuyler O’Neal Bruel is currently a senior at Woodside Priory. Her grandmother is a professional painter with more than 60 years of experience in large-scale abstract work. Lindsey Salma Bruel, the mother, has worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has rekindled her studio practice with her daughter this summer.
The artwork displayed will show a reflection of places and experiences from all three of the artists’ summer travels. The exhibit will also feature a collaborative piece that honors their Palestinian family matriarch, “Sittie.”
Sound Immersion Experience at Woodside
Woodside Recreation will be hosting the Sound Immersion Experience with Danny Goldberg on Oct. 24 and Nov. 21 from 7-8 p.m. at Independence Hall. The experience aims to use the “healing vibrations” of gongs and singing bowls to offer relaxation and rejuvenation.
Goldberg has worked with Stanford University’s Health Improvement Program,Breathe Together Yoga in Los Gatos, Djerassi Resident Artists Program in Woodside, Peacebank Yoga in Redwood City and more. He has hosted the Sound Immersion Experience for Google, the San Francisco 49ers, the Raiders, hospitals and festivals.

Costume drive
The Menlo Park Library and Community Services Department and the Menlo Park Police Department are collecting new and gently used costumes to give to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade at Belle Haven School.
Costumes will be collected from Sept. 15 to Oct. 17 at the Menlo Park Police Department and Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, both located in the Menlo Park Civic Center.
