Local residents who have died recently include:
Jean C. Mills, 100, a Palo Alto resident loved her family and was well known for her love of music and passion for cooking, died on April 27.
John Baer Woodworth, 89, a Palo Alto resident who was born in Gilroy, who worked at Fairchild Semiconductor as an electrical engineer before becoming a math and computer science teacher in the Mountain View-Los Altos District. In 1986, he co-founded The Cowper Inn in Palo Alto and was an early adopter of new Silicon Valley technology, who loved to take bike rides with his close friends, to prepare ambitious meals with his men’s cooking group and to explore other countries. He died on May 3.
