Alex Avery of the Menlo School water polo team has been named the Palo Alto Weekly’s Athlete of the Week.
The senior helped the Knights open the PAL water polo season with a win, then finished off a 12-goal week with 10 goals (three to help beat Bellarmine) during a 3-1 third-place finish at the Scott Roche Invitational.
