The fate of Randy and Lisa Lamb’s vintage urns — along with all the other artifacts dotting the Lindenwood neighborhood — probably won’t be resolved this year. The City Council postponed discussion of its historic artifacts ordinance after residents protested the lack of public notice for a hastily called special meeting Monday night, Oct. 29.
In January, the Lambs were prevented from moving two massive urns from their home in Lindenwood to a new home in another Atherton neighborhood. After taking the town to court, a San Mateo County judge ruled in July that Atherton’s ordinance needs to be reworked in order to be enforceable.
