Angel Island State Park remains closed to the public today following Wednesday’s oil spill in the San Francisco Bay, according to the park’s Web site (http://www.angelisland.org/ ). All on-island events have been canceled until further notice.
The closure comes after a 900-foot container ship struck a tower on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge this week, causing 58,000 gallons of oil to leak into the water.
