The Menlo Park Firefighters Association has put out a call to the public for help in determining the cause of last week’s fire in North Fair Oaks, which destroyed 104 units of affordable housing at 2700 Middlefield Road, according to a social media post from the firefighters union.

The association posted the following on its Instagram page on Tuesday morning:

“We are collecting videos, photos and information, particularly from the early stages, for investigation purposes,” the group writes. “If you happen to have any to share please DM us for more information on how to get us those. We appreciate your help. Your Menlo firefighters thank you.”

  1. It is essential that the investigation include an analysis of the charred debris that covered a wide area south of the fire location. It was in any backyard, parks, schoolyards, etc. Residents need to know if this debris poses any threats
    to the community.
