Local residents who died recently include:
Maria Luisa Sandin Márquez, 74, of Palo Alto, who worked at a chocolate factory, cheered for the Giants, and taught at a first-grade Sunday School, died on April 15, 2025.
Jameson Quinn, 51, of Portola Valley, who was dedicated to devising new voting methods, died after falling into a canyon in Guatemala City while attempting to rescue a small dog on March 23, 2025.
