The Portola Valley and Woodside communities came together to celebrate Chanukah at this year’s Chanukah Village on Sunday, Dec. 15, in Triangle Park in Portola Valley. Dassi and Rabbi Mayer Brook of The Village Chabad organized the event.
Families took part in horse and buggy rides, ate festive treats, listened to live Chanukah jazz, built menorahs and more.
The highlight of the event was lighting the giant menorah, as everyone joined together to sing Chanukah songs, spreading light and joy throughout the town, according to Rabbi Brook.
This is the fourth year the Brooks have hosted the Chanukah event.
Chanukah begins on Wednesday evening, Dec. 25.
