Sacred Heart Prep is a league baseball champion and won more than twice as many games as it did a year ago. Losing, on its home field, in the first round of the Central Coast Section Open Division, 8-0, to Valley Christian on Saturday doesn’t change any of that.
The sixth-seeded Gators finished their season at 21-7 (after winning 10 games all of last year) while third-seeded Valley Christian improved to 27-3-1. The Warriors, ranked No. 1 in the country by maxpreps.com, moves on to the semifinals to face second-seeded San Benito. Read the story here.
