Matt MacLeod completed all seven passes he attempted, two for touchdowns, and Menlo-Atherton concluded an undefeated season by beating visiting The King’s Academy, 49-21, in a Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division football contest Friday night.

Thomas Taufui, Dwayne Green and Raymond Price III each rushed for a score and Michael Osorio recovered a fumble in the end zone for another touchdown.

Price also threw a touchdown pass, a 34-yarder to Johnny Barbie, as the Bears (5-0) finished the season with an average score of 34-11.

MacLeod threw for 162 yards and rushed for another 41 yards. Green rushed for 43 yards and Michael McNack added 42.

Price also completed the only pass he attempted and Billy Johnson, the third quarterback used, would have been credited with a completion had there not been a penalty called on the play.

Jeremiah Earby was MacLeod’s favorite target, catching a touchdown pass. Juan Pulido (5-foot-9, 168-pound junior) connected on all seven of his PAT tries.

Eric Stuart caused the fumble that resulted in Osorio’s touchdown and Jalen Moss returned a kickoff 67 yards to set up another score.

The Bears completed their third consecutive undefeated league season, last losing a PAL contest in November of 2017.

Palo Alto junior quarterback Danny Peters threw for 189 yards on 18-of-30 passing with one touchdown, but the visiting Vikings fell to unbeaten Los Gatos, 45-7, in their De Anza Division season finale.

Brody Simison caught six passes for 103 yards. Paly rushed for 39 yards and was forced into passing after falling behind early.

Simison also recorded an interception and Michael Mahe recovered a fumble. Rocky Leitch, a sophomore, was a force on defense.

Los Gatos scored first and was driving for a second when Paly recovered a fumble on its own 20-yard line.

The Vikings were forced to punt, which was blocked out of the end zone for a safety.

Palo Alto (2-3) managed a sustained drive on its next possession and pulled within 9-7 before the Wildcats (5-0) scored five unanswered touchdowns.

The good news is that Paly returns 22 of the 29 players listed on the roster. The seniors playing in their game for the Vikings were Drew Mukherjee, Adriel Ontiveros, Alfredo Rico-Torres, Tucker McBride, Jackson Bundy, Michael Mahe and Patrick Crowley.
