Rowen Barnes homered, doubled, and drove in five runs and Menlo-Atherton beat visiting Woodside 15-0 in a non-league baseball game Saturday.

George Zaharias and two relievers combined to toss a two-hitter for the Bears (15-5), who have won 12 in a row and thrown seven shutouts during that span.

Barnes doubled home three runs during a four-run third inning and hit a two-run home run in the fifth.

Sean Quinton singled home Reno DiBono in the bottom of the second to start the scoring.

Owen Keep and James Roberts each drove in two runs and Jackson Williams, Ben Cohen, Tommy Eisenstat and John Quinlan also drove in runs.

Max Coupe, Ethan Bergan and Keep each added a pair of hits for M-A, which hosts Half Moon Bay in a PAL Ocean Division on Tuesday.

Barnes became the third different Bear in as many games to drive in five runs or more. Eisenstat drove in six in a win over Sequoia on Thursday and Griffin Williams had five RBIs in Tuesday’s win over the Ravens.

Zaharias allowed two hits in his four innings. He struck out six and did not walk a batter. Quinton pitched two shutout innings and Jackson Vontz finished with a perfect inning.

Gunn 14, at Lynbrook 6

Quinton Sterling collected three hits and drove in three runs, helping Gunn beat host Lynbrook 14-6 to move into a second-place tie with the Vikings in the SCVAL El Camino Division.

Lennon Seiders, Eugene Kim, Evan Wiederhold and Colin Wellwood each drove in two runs for the Titans (7-6, 6-4), who host first-place Fremont on Tuesday afternoon.

Charlie Degeller had three hits, drove in a run and scored four times.

Taehwan Jung went the first four innings for the win. Carson Leclerc allowed one hit over two innings of relief and Aadil Zakariya tossed a 1-2-3 seventh.

Gunn scored three runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead for good. Jung, Degeller and Sterling each singled to open the inning. One out later, Eugene Kim drilled a single into right field to score two and give the Titans a 6-5 lead. Evan Wiederhold added a RBI single.

Palo Alto 11, at Leigh 9

Palo Alto scored three insurance runs in the top of the sixth inning, which turned out to be the difference in an 11-9 non-league victory over host Leigh on Saturday.

Ritter Amsbaugh tripled in a run and Tommy Hall hit a sacrifice fly for another RBI. A third run scored as the result of an error.

Hall drove in two runs in a game where Paly collected six hits and only drove in four. Leigh committed seven errors on the day. Zander Darby also drove in a run.

Callum Olsen went the first four innings for the win. He gave up three runs on six hits, walking three and striking out five.

Leigh scored all of its runs in the final three innings, with Xavier Esquer coming on to record the final three outs for the save.

The Vikings (14-4) have a game scheduled at Homestead on Monday afternoon.
