Chance Bucher scored 19 points in helping Pinewood beat visiting Menlo 75-51 in a West Bay Athletic League girls basketball contest Friday night.
Courtni Thompson scored 15, Jade Ramirez 10, Maia Garcia 8 and Una Jovanovic 7 for Pinewood (11-0, 9-0), which hosts O’Dowd in a non-league game Saturday.

Elle Ladine had 12 rebounds and Jovanovic recorded a team-high six assists.
Avery Lee scored 21 points to lead Menlo (3-4, 2-4), which travels to Sacred Heart Prep on Wednesday.
Sharon Nejad added 11 and Riley Jensen 9.
Pinewood led at halftime, 39-29.
Annika Shah scored 16 points and Palo Alto ran away from Gunn 61-17 in a non-league game Friday.
Carly Martin added 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting (3-for-4 from long range) for the Vikings (9-5), who host Los Gatos on Tuesday night. Martin and Shah each added three assists.
Jessica Fiske led Paly with 11 rebounds. Martin had seven.
Boys basketball
David Ajanaku-Makun scored 14 points and Tayo Sobemehin added 13 and Priory beat visiting Menlo 47-29 in a WBAL game Friday.
Ashton Axe had eight points for Priory (11-1, 9-0), who travel to The King’s Academy on Tuesday night.
Baseball

Henry Bolte, Xavier Esquer and Zander Darby each hit home runs and Palo Alto beat host Santa Clara 12-4 in a SCVAL De Anza Division game Friday.
Bolte had three hits and drove in three runs for the Vikings (17-4, 10-1), who won their seventh straight. Hayden Jung-Goldberg also had three hits and drove in a run.
Darby was 2-for-2, with two RBIs, and walked twice as Palo Alto prepares for a home game against third-place Wilcox on Monday afternoon. The Chargers beat Paly in their previous meeting.
Aidan Berger drove in a pair of runs and Danny Peters recorded two hits for the Vikings, who own a two-game lead over second-place Mountain View. A win Monday would clinch at least a tie for the division title.
Callum Olsen allowed a run on four hits in his four innings. He struck out five and walked two. Tommy Hall and Colin Thibault combined to get through the final three innings.
Boys tennis
Top-seeded Menlo (10-0) beat visiting Los Altos 7-0 in the quarterfinal of the CCS team tournament Friday and will host Saratoga (10-1) in the semifinals Tuesday afternoon.
In another quarterfinal, Gunn (7-7) fell to No. 2 Bellarmine 7-0 at West Valley College.
Boys soccer
Gunn (11-1-1) received the No. 3 seed in the Central Coast Section Open Division and will host Pajaro Valley (13-0) in the first round Saturday night.
Menlo (10-0) was awarded the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 Leland for a Saturday afternoon contest.
Woodside (12-0-1) earned the top seed in Division I and hosts Watsonville (10-2) at Sequoia High on Saturday afternoon.
Menlo-Atherton (6-3-2) was named the No. 3 seed and hosts St. Francis (6-2-2) Saturday morning.
Sacred Heart Prep (7-3) was seeded seventh in Division II and travels to play No. 2 San Benito (8-0-2) on Saturday morning.
Sixth-seeded Priory (6-3-1) opens Division III play at San Mateo (6-6-1) on Saturday evening.
Girls soccer
Woodside (9-0-3) was awarded the No. 5 seed and will travel to play Pioneer (8-1-3) in the Open Division on Saturday night.
Seventh-seeded Sacred Heart Prep (7-3) opens Division I play against Aragon (9-0-1) at San Mateo on Saturday morning.
Menlo (7-0-1) earned the No. 1 seed in Division I and hosts Santa Cruz (8-1-2) Saturday morning.
Menlo-Atherton (3-3-5) was named the No. 7 seed in Division II and plays at Saratoga (11-1) Saturday afternoon.
Castilleja (10-2) was awarded the No. 2 seed in Division III and opens against San Benito (5-5) at Palo Alto High Saturday afternoon.
Girls tennis
Castilleja defeated Notre Dame-Salinas 7-0 at Palo Alto High on Thursday in the first round of the CCS team tournament.
The seventh-seeded Gators (5-2) play St. Francis (6-2) at Cuesta Park on Monday afternoon.
Top-seeded Menlo (8-1) drew a first round bye and will host No. 8 Notre Dame, a 6-1 winner over Leigh on Thursday, Monday afternoon.
Boys lacrosse

Evan Wong scored four goals and Palo Alto beat Mountain View in a SCVAL match Friday.
