Sacred Heart Prep dropped a 228-267 decision to Harker in a West Bay Athletic League girls golf match Monday at Bay View Golf Course.
Mischa Chaikovsky shot a nine-hole round of 49 to lead the Gators (6-6, 6-5), who finish the regular season with a match against Menlo School at Baylands Golf Links on Wednesday.
Defending WBAL and Central Coast Section champion Harker (10-3, 10-0) was led by Tina Xu, a top 10 finisher at last season’s CCS tournament, who fired a 41.
Harker is a match up on Castilleja with two to play. The teams square off at Sunnyvale Golf Course Wednesday.
The WBAL tournament will take place next Monday at Sunnyvale GC.
Water polo
The Menlo-Atherton boys clinched at least a tie for the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division title, decisively beating Mills 18-6 at home Monday.
M-A (16-5, 8-0) hosts Burlingame on Wednesday. Both the boys and girls can clinch their respective league titles with a victory. The M-A girls (15-5, 9-1) beat Sequoia 18-5.
The Woodside boys (10-4, 6-2) had the day off and will play at home against Aragon on Wednesday.
Liz Warren scored three goals in helping Woodside beat Notre Dame Belmont 12-3 in another PAL Bay Division contest. Woodside goalie Sophie Simpson had nine saves and two assists.
