Menlo earned one of the West Bay Athletic League’s automatic bids into the Central Coast Sections girls tennis tournament with a 7-0 home victory over Nueva on Thursday.
Menlo (18-4), which reached the CCS championship match last season, will discover its first-round opponent Saturday when the seeding meeting is held Saturday.
The team tournament opens Monday with eight matches at various sites. The top eight seeds earn a first-round bye and play Tuesday.
Harker is the defending CCS champion in a 24-team field that will also include West Catholic Athletic League champion St. Francis, Peninsula Athletic League champion Menlo-Atherton and Santa Clara Valley Athletic League champions Mountain View (De Anza) and Gunn (El Camino).
Against Nueva, senior Tricia Zhang, freshmen Andra Braicu, Izzy Klugman and Kate Hsia all captured singles victories in straight sets.
Doubles did the same with the duos of seniors Brynn Brady and Alex Viret; Rupal Nimaiyar and junior Hannah Satuito, along with juniors Ellie Hardegree and Evelyn Zhou all winning in straight sets.
