Spencer Chen headed a ball into the net off a crossing pass from Dane Jefferson with five minutes left to play, lifting host Gunn past Woodside 3-2 in a non-league boys soccer game Tuesday night.
Gunn (1-0), who lost to eventual Open Division champion Bellarmine in the semifinals of the Central Coast Section tournament, fell behind Woodside (1-1) on goals from Hugo Gallegos and Benny Bogyo.
Gallegos, a sophomore, has scored four goals in his first two games.
The Titans rallied to tie when Gabe Hutt sent a through ball to Jefferson at the top of the box. Jefferson dribbled around the goalie and sent the ball into the back of the net with 15 minutes remaining.
Joaquim Bonnet opened the scoring with a header from a corner kick by Jack Fallows in the first half.

The game was tied 1-1 at the half.
Woodside plays again Saturday, Dec. 11 at Cupertino. Gunn hosts Hillsdale at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Gunn is 30-4-3 under third-year coach Vava Marques.
Sacred Heart Prep opened its season with a 7-0 home victory over Riordan as Thomas Sullivan scored twice and recorded a pair of assists.
Beau Dunlevie, Carlos Deras, Armin Hamrah, Nathaniel Pi-Sunyer and Jack Cashman also scored for SHP, which travels to play St. Francis Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Colin Johnson added three assists. Aneel Bulchandani and Hamrah also had assists.
Los Altos rallied for a pair of goals in the second half to tie host Monta Vista 2-2 in a non-league match.
Junior Ata Sen and senior Rafael Ulloa each scored and recorded an assist for the Eagles (0-0-1), who travel to play Lincoln in San Jose at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.
In another game, Mountain View scored three times in the second half to beat host Pioneer 3-0.
