State Highway 84 was blocked in San Mateo County between state Highway 35 and Portola Road on Saturday morning because of a downed tree and wires.
State Highway 84, which is Woodside Road in the area, was closed at about 10:45 a.m. and was expected to remain closed for several hours, according to San Mateo County’s emergency alert system.
The fallen tree and downed wires were obstructing the roadway. Drivers were asked to use alternate routes and avoid the area.
