Henry’s Prime Steakhouse at 888 El Camino Real in Menlo Park has closed. Co-owner Jim Ulcickas is selling the business and says he is considering a couple of offers.

“Both are excited to get moving, so it should reopen fairly rapidly,” he says.

He declined to reveal the names of the potential buyers.

Henry’s Prime opened in November 2004. “I just don’t think Menlo Park was ready for an upscale steak house,” Mr. Ulcickas says. “We had great food and better prices than Sundance.”

Mr. Ulcickas was also co-owner of the Bluewater Grill, which opened in February 2003 and closed to make way for Henry’s. His company operates Bluewater Grills in Redondo Beach, Newport Beach and South Coast Plaza in Southern California.

Before Bluewater, another fish house, Three Fish, went out of business at the same location.

Longtime residents remember when the building, which is owned by Menlo Park resident Jim Cunningham, was the home of Ken’s family restaurant, famed for its “Dutch Baby” and other specialty pancakes.
