Some residents along the Midpeninsula have been without power for nearly three days following the storm on Sunday, Feb. 4. For the majority, they were not expected to have their electricity turned back on until late Tuesday night, Feb. 6, according to PG&E’s outage map. But

More than 64,000 PG&E customers remained without power throughout the Bay Area early Tuesday morning following stormy weather that battered the region. Of those, more than 14,000 customers along the Peninsula didn’t have power as of 5 a.m. on Tuesday, PG&E spokesperson Karly Hernandez told the Bay City News Service. More than half of those, 7,952 Peninsula customers, still their power to be restored as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

As of 10:42 a.m. on Monday, there were 454 customers experiencing outages in the Emerald Hills neighborhood in Redwood City. Around 450 customers were also without electricity in the Menlo Park area. Power has largely been restored in these areas.

In West Atherton, 105 customers are without power Tuesday morning. That outage has been resolved.

Some 131 customers in the Mountain Home Road neighborhood of Woodside were also without power on Tuesday morning. This outage has been resolved.

There are also several outage areas in the Portola Valley area. These outages are persisting.

Power is expected to be restored around the same time in each of these areas.

The outage numbers are down from nearly 95,000 customers who were affected as of late Monday night. PG&E officials say power has been restored to over 1 million customers in the state since Sunday.
