Woodside’s Town Manager Kevin Bryan has announced he will be retiring from his position in May 2025. Next summer, Bryant and his family are moving away from the Bay Area to be closer to family, according to a town press release issued on Oct. 4.

Bryant began working for Woodside in 2008, as the assistant town manager to former Town Manager Susan George. When George announced she was stepping down in 2012, the Town Council voted unanimously to select Bryant as the next town manager.

“It has been the pinnacle of my career to serve as Woodside’s town manager since 2012,” said Bryant in the announcement. “I received great professional and personal satisfaction from working with such an engaged, vibrant community and I am grateful for the opportunity that I have had to work in this wonderful community.

Bryant has worked alongside 17 different council members and 12 mayors during his tenure. The press release notes that Woodside “has remained in strong financial health and undertook major infrastructure projects including the replacement of two bridges,” under Bryant’s direction.

The Town Council will be conducting an open recruitment for the next town manager through an executive recruiter. The council plans to hire a replacement prior to Bryant’s departure to allow for a smooth transition of information and provide a strong foundation for the incoming town manager.

“On behalf of the Woodside Town Council and residents, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Kevin for his tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to the town,” said Mayor Jenn Wall in the statement. “We wish him all the best and are incredibly grateful for his service and contributions to our community.”
