AMC’s dark comedy-drama “The Audacity,” set in Silicon Valley, will film in the Woodside Town Center area on Friday, Oct. 16, from 7 a.m. to noon, according to a notice sent to residents.

Crews will film on Mountain Home Road between Woodside and Portola roads and shoot one scene at the intersection of Mountain Home and Woodside roads between 9 a.m. and noon. No streets will be closed, and driveways and horse trails will remain open, though traffic may be briefly controlled during takes, the notice states. AMC will also have California Highway Patrol officers on standby.

Created by Jonathan Glatzer, who previously worked on HBO’s “Succession” and AMC’s “Better Call Saul,” the series follows Duncan Park, a data-mining CEO who seeks to exploit people’s privacy for financial gain, and his psychiatrist, JoAnne Felder, who struggles with her own ethical dilemmas.

AMC describes the show as exploring the “warped dreams, outsized egos and ethical lapses of the self-styled inventors of the future.” Its Silicon Valley setting includes “jaded billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked tech bros, AI labs and disillusioned teens being optimized in elite private schools,” according to the company.

Park is played by Billy Magnussen and Felder is played by Sarah Goldberg. The show also features Zach Galifianakis, who hosted “Between Two Ferns” and starred in “The Hangover.”

The first season premiered April 12 on AMC and AMC+, and production on the second season began in June. The show is filmed primarily in Vancouver, Canada, but a few scenes will be shot in Woodside, according to the notice.

Season 1 of the show is available to stream on AMC, Netflix and Prime Video.

The production is staging vehicles and staff at the Filoli estate to avoid impacting coveted parking in the town center.

AMC is not the only company launching shows about Silicon Valley’s unique culture. “Cupertino” premiered on CBS on Oct. 8.
