Officers recently arrested three East Palo Alto teenagers suspected of beating up someone in Mountain View in June, the Mountain View Police Department said Monday.
On June 20, calls came into police reporting a fight in progress at the IFES Society Hall on Stierlin Road. Officers arrived and found a 26-year-old Turlock man suffering from an assault which he reported caused him to lose consciousness. The victim said three suspects gave him several injuries, including lacerations, bruising, and eyelid swelling.
Mountain View police identified two 15-year-olds and one 14-year-old as suspects in the assault. The trio were taken into custody on Friday, Aug. 21, in Atherton due to an unrelated case, police said.
Once in custody, Mountain View police filed additional charges related to the June battery. All three teenagers are suspected of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, while the 14-year-old is also suspected of making criminal threats.
Early Monday morning, Aug. 24, search warrants were executed at three addresses in East Palo Alto. No additional arrests were made.
