Pierre Bensusan, the French-Algerian composer and acoustic guitar virtuoso, comes to Redwood City as part of his current North American tour to perform his world-music blend of traditional, jazz and pop.
Sometimes called “The Prince of DADGAD” for his acclaimed work in that tuning, Bensusan has received honors that include the Independent Music Award for his 2014 live album “Encore” and the Rose d’Or of the Montreux Festival for his debut album in the 1970s. Frequently touring and performing all across the globe, he’s earned the admiration of guitarists – and beyond – worldwide.
