If you aren’t already registered to vote, state officials are reminding residents that Monday is the last day to register online to cast a ballot in the upcoming Nov. 3 General Election.
Eligible Californians can register or update their voter registration online through midnight Monday, at registertovote.ca.gov.
“The website is mobile-friendly and allows people to register or update their voter registration on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone,” said California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber.
Voters who are unsure about their status can check it at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
Eligible voters who miss Monday’s online registration deadline have the option of “Same Day” or “Conditional” voter registration, but they must do so in person at their county elections office or at any in-person voting location through Election Day.
Those voters will be asked to fill out a voter registration form and will be provided a ballot, which will only be counted after the county elections office has completed the voter registration verification process, state officials said.
