Popular sushi restaurant Naomi Sushi, which has been in business in Menlo Park at 1328 El Camino Real since 1997, has abruptly closed as of July 8.

According to a note taped to the door of the restaurant, the closure is temporary to accommodate renovations to the restaurant. However, the note also states that the restaurant will remain closed “until further notice.”

Naomi Sushi’s website, which was live as of June 27, 2024 according to the Wayback Machine, has since shut down.

Naomi Sushi is the second long-standing Menlo Park restaurant to shut down this summer, following the closure of Mediterranean restaurant Galata Bistro in June.

The owners of Naomi Sushi could not be reached for comment, and it is unknown when the restaurant plans to reopen.
