Here are the local residents who died recently:
James Zahoudanis, 81, a former Palo Alto resident who was born in Greece, who worked as a sales and marketing executive and who held stints at Motorola, Oracle and IBM, died on April 20, 2025.
Carl Frederick Darling, 74, a Palo Alto resident who was born in Redwood City and who worked as engineer for various companies, including Bechtel Corporation, Chiron Corporation and Genentech, died on July 15, 2025.
Wayne Horiuchi, 72, a Palo Alto resident who was born in Japan, who excelled in track and tennis before becoming a marathon runner, who graduated from Stanford University, ran an appraisal business and enjoyed fishing and ceramic painting, died on July 9, 2025.
Tita Koloszi, 90, an Atherton resident who worked as a history teacher and counselor at Sequoia High School, who built an endowment in her son’s name to annually provide UC scholarships for Sequoia Union High School District students and who wad deeply involved in the Allied Arts Guild Auxiliary, died on April 22, 2025.
