Blaysen Terukina and Anthony Orozco earned national titles and Menlo College finished second at the NAIA men’s wrestling national championships in Park City, Kansas on Saturday.
The Oaks entered the final day in fourth place and with four wrestlers in the semifinals. Terukina and Orozco helped the Oaks move up two spots, their highest finish in 16 years. Menlo coach Joey Martinez was named the NAIA Coach of the Year, adding to his CCC Coach of the Year title, and the team earned the Champions of Character Team Award to round out the weekend.
